Qatar Foundation has taken initiatives to embark on setting up scientific research centers of excellence. Aiming to transform Qatar to a knowledge-based society, Qatar Foundation thrives to develop a suitable environment for research as well as overcome the challenge of shortage in research personnel. Therefore, responding to the need for highly qualified research-leading workforce, Qatar Foundation through collaborating with its partner institutions has initiated the Qatar Science Leadership Program. The Program’s aspiration is to prepare the coming generations of enthused graduates for exploring and leading the field of scientific research.
Qatar Science Leadership Program is a unique capacity building program for Qatari recent graduates, either holding a Bachelor or Master degree, and are willing to discover and develop their potential by embarking on a path of diverse scientific research and research administrative environments. The training program is designed to develop the insight and skills critical for effective operations of science and research activities.
The QSLP offers two tracks of training; one leads to the career path of a scientist and the other focuses on the career development of research manager.
