Who can apply to QSLP? This program targets recent Qatari graduates holding either bachelor’s or master’s degrees, minimum GPA is 3.5 or equivalent.
What are the equivalent degrees required for graduates from UK universities? Graduates from UK should have a minimum of 2.1upper second-class honors.
Which fields qualify for consideration for the QSLP program? A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field related to science, engineering, medicine, business, marketing, international relations, communication and management will be considered by the QSLP committee.
How can I apply? Online applications are available at www.qf-research-division.org/qslp and should be submitted with a Letter of Interest, CV/ Resume and the highest degree certificate or latest transcript.
When will I hear back from the QSLP committee after completing the application? The results and feedback will be announced no later than July 15.
What are the entry levels for each track? For the Research Management Track, there are two entry levels depending on the background and qualification of each candidate. Research Analyst I is for applicants holding a bachelor’s degree and Research Analyst II is for candidates with Master’s degrees. For the Research Scientist Track, there are also two entry levels depending on the qualification of the candidate. Research Assistant I is for applicants holding a bachelor’s degree. Research Assistant II is for candidates with a master’s degree.
Is there a certificate awarded for the Management Track trainees upon completion? Upon completion of the Management Track of Qatar Science Leadership Program, each research analyst receives a professional certificate in the practice of research management awarded by Qatar Foundation.
Is there a certificate awarded for the Scientist Track trainees upon completion? Upon completion of the Scientist Track of Qatar Science Leadership Program, each trainee will be awarded a post graduate certificate, either a master’s degree or a PhD from an internationally recognized university.
What happens when I complete my training period in either track? A permanent position is guaranteed upon successful completion of the training period in Qatar Foundation or one of its partner centers
