Structure for Research Scientist Track
The training plan towards developing scientists under Qatar Science Leadership Program consists of sending candidates to pursue either a master’s degree or a PhD, at recognized universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Imperial College, Cambridge, Oxford, Carnegie Mellon and Texas A&M.
Structure for Research Management Track
The trainee will start off with a one-week orientation session shadowing one or several of the more experienced staff to introduce the objectives and the expectations of Research Division to the trainee. The orientation will be followed by 6-month practical training in the assigned research offices including Institutional Research, Research Training and Development, Research Coordination and Research Partnership or other support functions in the Research Division. The trainee will then learn about research funding and operations of a research center and science park through rotations.
